Can't Install - drive spins for a couple of seconds and... - 2/17/2008 11:38:39 AM    Derschaun   Posts: 3 Joined: 2/17/2008 Status: offline I just received software from Amazon yesterday and it won't install. I viewed previous messages and nothing seems to work. When I insert the CD, it spins for a couple of seconds and then nothing. It acts as though it wants to read the CD, but it doesn't. I installed another CD last night that came with my digital recorder and it installed just fine. And, if I am correct, that's not going to work - because CD drives cannot read DVDs. So, the first thing you'll want to do is to look on the Pro Publisher 22 disk to see if it says DVD anywhere on the label. If it does, check the drive you're putting the disk into. I thought it was the basic CD's??? I guess I need to return and request CD version. I think Deluxe 22 comes in a CD version, but you have to check the min. requirements to be sure that's what you're buying.
