Since the readme.txt file for Print Shop 2.0 contains several cautions about high-resolution images, video cards and printing issues, I would recommend that all Print Shop 2.0 users read this readme.txt file very carefully.

XP users should note that The Print Shop 2.0 requires Service Pack 3 (or higher) in order to able to complete installation.

The Print Shop 2.0 requires Vista Service Pack 1 (or higher).

When installing The Print Shop, if your operating system (OS) has updates that are pending, your computer may be forced to restart and users may have to re-initiate installation of The Print Shop.

Vista users who wish to uninstall The Print Shop 2.0 may do so by going to Add/Remove Programs. Uninstalling from the DVD may result in an error message.

Users should note that projects that use several high-resolution images in a single project may exceed The Print Shop 2.0’s limitation of 1GB; users may subsequently receive an “Insufficient Memory” error message.

Users with Nvidia GeForce 8-series cards may find that drop-down menus in The Print Shop 2.0 do not appear. To fix this issue, users should ensure they have installed the latest drivers from Nvidia, which can be found at: NVIDIA Driver Downloads

Users with Nvidia Geforce 7950 video cards may notice that several elements of The Print Shop 2.0’s user interface may not render properly or may not be viewable. To fix this issue, users should ensure they have installed the latest drivers from Nvidia, which can be found at: NVIDIA Driver Downloads

Users with Nvidia Geforce 6200 video cards may notice that several elements of The Print Shop 2.0’s user interface may not render properly or may not be viewable. Nvdia Geforce 6200 video cards are not recommended for use with The Print Shop 2.0.

Vista and Windows 7 users with nVidia video drivers and monitor resolutions set at 1024x768 may experience difficulties opening or editing banner projects.

Users whose computers are running with Intel video chipset 82865G may experience graphical issues in The Print Shop 2.0. To correct this issue, users may want to go to Dell Drivers & Downloads and update their driver with version 6.14.10.3762.

Text created in a project and saved as .PDF or .XPS is subsequently not searchable within a PDF or XPS viewer application.

Postcard printing on HP 3390 printers in Windows XP and Vista may yield misalignment and paper size errors.

Please note that, when printing a banner, some users may see a “Paper Mismatch” error dialogue that uses the term, “NorthAmericanLetter.” This is equivalent to 8.5in x 11in “US Letter” paper size.

Printers that are installed on a print server may not show up in printer lists, such as the list that appears in “Print Alignment.” Printers that are simply networked (but not installed on a print server) will not experience this issue.

Please note that projects exported to a supported filetype (.XPS, .PDF, .JPG) and then printed using an application such as XPS Viewer, Adobe Reader or Windows Photo Viewer may result in a difference in color profile than a project printed from within The Print Shop 2.0.

Please note that The Print Shop 2.0 will override any orientation and paper size settings set by the user in the printer control panel. Orientation and paper size settings are strictly determined by the project file being sent to the printer.

Ctrl-Clicking on a hyperlink within a project may result in an application crash.

Hyperlinks typed or copy/pasted into a project will appear as hyperlinks, but may not launch a browser when clicked.

Hyperlinks typed into textboxes without http:// in the URL will generate an error message.

Hyperlinks typed into a project and saved as .PDF or .XPS file will no longer be clickable.
