My mother has macular degeneration and has trouble seeing the cards, even on a 20-inch monitor. Some (other) card games have faces that show the suit and rank much larger than even the "Jumbo index" faces in the version we have. Is there any way to get or make something for her or others like her?

You could try switching your screen to a 800x600 resolution and switching to Windowed mode and using the magnafier in Windows under Accesibility in Windows.
