Hi eveyone,
I am new to the digital photo world and have really been struggling with this. I sell shoes online and need to delete the background image around the shoes...is this possible and how do I do this? I want to erase all of the background in the photo and just have a pic of the shoes. hmmm please help

Use the photo-editor in PrintShop. Use one of the crop tools to trace around the shoes. Then export the image as GIF with transparent background.

Read about how to use the photo-editor in your Help File.

Note: GIF only has 256 colours, so you may not like the resulting image quality. The alternative is to replace the background with the webpage background and export as JPG. JPG is a better format for web photos, but JPG cannot have transparent backgrounds.

Tip: Photograph the shoes against a neon green background or other bright colour not found in the shoes. ( You can buy coloured bristol board.) This will make removing the background a cinch, if your photo-editor has a "magic wand" selection mask that can delete an area based on colour.
