I have recently purchased Preintmaster gold 17. My last version was 15. at on time was able to upload version 11 art discs and view from the search art gallery, advanced options and choose a collection.
I had computer problems and had to reboot computer and now cannot see other collections and do not remember how to set it up. Any help?

Hi, I have some relevant info. This comes from a friend who spoke with a former PrintMaster programmer.

With each new version, the graphics are saved in that huge CDT file slightly different each time, such that it is impossible to use the art CDs of one version with a different one.

I know how to import old art from My Own Art from a previous version. I don't suppose you meant this?

so then I guess you could export graphics you want from older versions as gif, jpeg, etc. then import them into the new version? Very inconvenient.

There is one rather complicated process for sharing Art content between Broderbund programs.

The instructions for this process can be viewed by clicking on this link: Importing graphics from printmaster to printshop

That is excellent info. I am saving it for future reference. It's important to reiterate that this is info shared between users and anyone who runs into trouble cannot blame the messenger. As mentioned in that thread, any questions about this procedure is not covered by tech support. Sort of like voiding the warranty on your scanner when you try to fix it by yourself.

Anyone not comfortable with editing the Registry (and that definitely includes me!) should probably leave this for more computer literate users.
