Double Cross does not advance to next player

I am having a problem in Double Cross, when a "real" players time is up, it does not automatically advance to the next player. The game players advance without a problem, but if the time runs out, the game hangs up, and I have to hit pause, and restart, and then it goes to the next player. HELP

Disabling the background music prevents this issue. Sadly this was not looked into before they released the game.
