pisces143 -> need blank template for photo card (12/10/2006 7:07:03 PM)

Hi, I'm brand new to Print Shop 22, and am very, very frustrated. I bought this program so I could make some photo Christmas cards, but cannot find a template that will just import my photo with my own words. There is only one card available for photo card, and it is a baby announcement. When I go to start from scratch, they only list about 8 Avery sizes, not the dual fold size of 8315 that I have. Can someome please walk me through how to place my own photograph on the front with writing on the inside, without anyone else's design, or have I not bought the correrct program for this?
Thanks a lot,
Pisces

Pisces,

The only advantage to the Photo Cards in Print Shop 22 is that those Photo Cards will allow you to select "Double-Click to Insert Photo". And, the only thing that is accomplished by double clicking on "Double-Click to Insert Photo" is that a window will open which will allow you to select a photo to be placed in the "Double-Click to Insert Photo" portion of the pre-designed project.

Since you want to start with a blank project, and you want to import your own photos, and you want to use the Avery 8315 Ink Jet Note Card cardstock, try this:

On the Print Shop 22 Project Picker, click on Greeting Cards, make sure Printed Greeting Cards is selected, then click on Next. On the next window, click in the circle next to Notecard, click in the circle next to Start From Scratch, then click on Next. Although you will see on the next page that only 3 Avery options are listed, all of those Avery options will work with Avery 8315 cardstock - because all of those options are designed for 8 1/2" x 11", 2-cards-to-the-page, half-fold greeting cards, just like the Avery 8315 cardstock.

Since you do not want to use a pre-designed card, it is important that you start with a new blank project that matches the paper stock that you wish to use. i.e. as Brandy recommends - Note Card, 2/sheet.

If you do not know how to add your photo nor how to add a textbox, then you really should do the help tutorials which will cover all the basics and will definitely decrease your frustration level.
