scgerhardt3 -> remove gift from Anniversary Function (12/20/2006 1:37:38 PM)

Is there any way to remove the "gift" portion of the output of the Anniversary function. I would like to utilize the Anniversary number portion only.

I am using Calendar Creator Platinum.

Thanks! [:)]

Nope, I'm afraid you can't remove the "gift" portion of the output of the Anniversary function.

I found this gift feature annoying, as well as wanting to use anniversary functionality without using the word "anniversary." Here's the workaround I use:

Use the &count function, and add one year to the actual beginning date.
For example, let's say John and Mary were married 12/23/2003.

Create a repeating event with this for the event Description:
John and Mary's &count Anniversary

Now, set the start date to 12/23/2004 (a year AFTER their marriage).

To be safe, use the event "Note" space to include a note to yourself:
Actual date: 12/23/2003.
