You may not be doing anything wrong:
This is what Encore has posted on the Knowledgebase about the Launchpad:
Currently there is a problem with the update to the Launchpad. Please uninstall the Launchpad and reinstall it.
When you get the pop up which says, "There is a newer version of this program available on the web. Would you like to update now?" select 'NO'.
This will complete the launchpad installation and allow you to install the rest of the program.

If you would like to install the program itself - without the launchpad - do the following:
* Put the Hoyle Casino 2007 Install disc in the drive
* Go to 'My computer'
* Right click on the drive where you inserted the Hoyle Casino 2007 Install disc
* Select 'Open'
* Double click on 'Setup.exe'
This will install the product.
However, if you are using WinXP or Win2000, you'll want to make sure that you are logged onto the system with a Computer Administrator account before installing any software - because software should never be installed in WinXP or Win2000 while logged onto the system with a Limited User Account.
