wsi_jim -> where are the multiplication lessons (6/11/2007 7:36:13 PM)

I have installed Advantage Elementary 2007 but cannot find the lesson on Multiplication for 3rd graders. I can access Math Trek 1,2,3,4,5 etc., but none of these explicitly teaches multiplication. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi wsi_jim,

I'm not absolutely certain that what I am seeing in my Elementary Advantage 2008 will be the same as what you are seeing in your Elementary Advantage 2007; but, what I am seeing is that the Multiplication lessons are in the Math Trek 1, 2, 3 Number Sense & Numeration / Grade 3 section.

For example, in Number Sense & Numeration / Grade 3, clicking on the marbles will take you to the Marble Count section, which presents actual multiplication problems. And, clicking on the Truck will take you to the How Many? section, which presents actual multiplication and division problems.

Please do let me know if this information helps to solve your problem (so that I can help anyone else who experiences the same problem with Elementary Advantage 2007).

Yes, your information was correct. Thank you.

There seems to be a need for a lesson index, so if you are looking for multiplication exercises you can easily find it.

Hi wsi_jim,

Thank You Very Much for reporting back.

I would definitely agree that there is a need for a lesson index. But, as far as I can tell, Elementary Advantage does not offer much Help in Math Trek 1, 2, 3. The only Help I saw were the pop-up messages that displayed at the bottom of the window when I moved the mouse cursor over each toy on the shelf.

So, it would appear that the only option for anyone using the program is to 'Explore' until the desired feature is found.
