joby1 -> Master Page Option For building web pages (1/27/2008 4:57:02 PM)

Does anyone know if you can make template/master page in web page mode of print shop 21?
Is it possible to modify page status to master page? IN either web page or newletter project mode?
Can projects be saved in formats different from the one the project was started in?

Have long, involved webpage that needs to be redone this year, and don't know how to use dreamweaver that well yet..

Thanks for any help you can give me..

There is no master page option in the web project.

No. A regular page cannot be changed to master page status. From a regular page, you could select all and copy to the master page.

If you mean can you change a project to another project (e.g. poster to newsletter; brochure to half-fold card) the answer is NO. You can export a project to JPG or other raster format. You can publish most projects to generate HTML and associated files for webpages. This does not create a web project, though.

There is the card convertor tool which will create a new project for you, but only a card project. So if you start with a quarter-fold card project, you can easily make a half-fold card project with all the same design elements.

Print Shop cannot edit any pre-existing html files, nor Dreamweaver files. You would have to start your web project from scratch or edit your HTML in NotePad.

Thank you very much,

I guess I'm screwed LOL

Not procifient at any of these programs really, just put alot of work into a 30+ page site using Print Shop 21, that needs to be changed every 4-5 months...Time consuming with no master page/template, appreciate the answers though.

You could create a newsletter project and copy/paste everything from your web project pages. At least the newsletter project has a master page. The newsletter project can be "published to folder" to generate your HTML and image files.
