LNay -> Problem with Panic (4/3/2009 1:10:18 PM)

I have windows vista, and when I installed Hoyle Puzzle & Board Games 2009 on my computer I believed it was working properly until I try to play "PANIC"; a message comes up telling me that some error has occured and the program is shuting down. I have tried to uninstall, and reinstall Hoyle Puzzle & Board Games 2009, but nothing seems to work. Is there a glitch in the progaming, or some kind of update that I have not heard of I find this very frustrating, can someone please help!!

Hi LNay,

We are not aware of any known glitch in the Hoyle Puzzle and Board Games 2009 programming. And, there is no update for the program.

The problem you described could be the result of a corrupt or outdated video card driver. So, the first thing you might want to try is to click on this link

Updating Video Card Driver: 2000/XP/Vista/7/Mac OS X 10.4.0 and later

then follow the directions for updating your video card driver.

If updating the video card driver does not solve the problem, the installation might be corrupt. And, even though you have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program, it is possible that the uninstall you performed did not remove all of the corruption. And, if you did not do a 'clean' reinstall, it is possible that the new installation is corrupt as well.

So, I would recommend that you do this:

A. Click on this link

Uninstalling Software: Thoroughly & Safely

and follow the directions in that FAQ

B. Click on this link

Computer Cleanup on WinXP, WinVista & Win7

and follow the directions in that FAQ

C. Click on this link

'Clean' Install on Win98/Me/XP/2000/Vista/Win7

and follow the directions in that FAQ

If this suggestion does not solve your problem, the next thing to do would be to click on this link

Troubleshooting Installation Problems

then check out the recommended solutions in that FAQ.
