32-bit version of Windows 7: When a ‘clean’ install is done of PrintMaster 7, exactly as described in this FAQ 'Clean' Install on Win98/Me/XP/2000/Vista/Win7 PrintMaster 7 should install quite easily on a 32-bit version of Windows 7. If an error message is displayed which says, "This program has known compatibility issues," it should be possible to successfully install PrintMaster 7 by clicking on the 'Run Program' button. It should be noted, however, that when PrintMaster 7 is started on a 32-bit version of Windows 7, a message will ALWAYS be displayed which says, "Connection Manager Component is missing. This component is required for online access. Re-install application to install this component". This error message is irrelevant, and can be safely ignored, for several reasons: 1. Since PrintMaster 7 is a Mindscape product - NOT a Broderbund product - it is no longer possible to register PrintMaster 7 online. 2. The only other online access that was ever available for PrintMaster 7 was the Art and More Store. And, the Art and More Store was discontinued many years ago. NOTE: Even though PrintMaster 7 will successfully install on a 32-bit version of Windows 7, there is no guarantee that PrintMaster 7 will be completely compatible with Windows 7 - because PrintMaster 7 was originally designed for only these Operating Systems Windows Me / 2000 / 98 / 95 / NT, Unix, Linux, Mac 64-bit version of Windows 7: It is not possible to install PrintMaster 7 on a 64-bit version of Windows 7 - because PrintMaster 7 is not compatible with any 64-bit Operating System. That is due to the fact that the PrintMaster 7 setup. exe file contains 16-programming code. 64-bit Operating Systems cannot handle any 16-bit programming code.
