Brandy redux -> Error: 'Can't Create Directory...' (7/27/2010 5:55:20 PM)

When the 'Can't Create Directory...' error message is in a language other than English, and the error message reads something like this

"Can't create directory C:\Documents and Settings\[Windows® User Name]\Configuration local\Datos de programa\...."

this issue occurs because the Broderbund program you are attempting to install was created for the English release of Windows® and will not install and function properly on versions of Windows® created for other languages.

There is, unfortunately, no fix for this problem - other than to install the software on an English release of Windows.

**********

When the 'Can't Create Directory...' error message reads something like this

"Can't create the directory

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Broderbund Software\Print\Calendar Creator" (for WinXP)

or

"Can't create the directory

C:\ProgramData\Broderbund Software\Print\Calendar Creator" (for WinVista & Windows 7)

this occurs because your computer has not established ownership of the folder and its contents. By establishing an owner it should correct the issue.

The method listed below can be used to establish ownership of the folder and its contents. However, performing the following steps could be harmful to your computer if done incorrectly. So, if you do not understand these instructions, please consult a licensed computer technician.
