Brandy redux -> PS 2.0: Help.cab has an Invalid Digital Signature (1/29/2011 12:47:04 PM)

Problem

The Help.cab file has an Invalid Digital Signature.

Solution

This error is most likely the result of a CD or DVD drive error.

Copy the the entire contents of the DVD to your Desktop - as described below - then run the Setup.exe file from there:

1. Insert the The Print Shop 2.0 DVD.

2. When autorun starts, select 'Cancel'.

3. Create a new folder on your Desktop - by right clicking on your desktop then selecting 'New' then 'Folder'.

4. Name the folder Print Shop.

5. Click on 'Start'

6. Click on 'Computer' for Vista and 7 or 'My Computer' for WinXP

7. Right click on the DVD Drive where you inserted the The Print Shop 2.0 DVD.

8. Select 'Open' from the menu that drops down.

9. Hold down the CTRL, then press A. This should select everything in the DVD.

10. Hold down the CTRL key, then press C. This should Copy everything on the DVD.

11. Close all open windows.

12. Open the Print Shop folder which you created on your desktop.

13. Left click once inside the window to make it the active window.

14. Hold down the CTRL key, then press V. This should paste everything that was copied from the DVD.

15. Click on the link below

http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=24104&mpage=1&key=%E5%B8%A8

then follow the directions in that FAQ for disabling all background programs in MSConfig | Startup. Allow the computer to restart.

16. When the computer has been restarted, go to the Print Shop folder that you created on your desktop, then double click on the Setup.exe file. This should begin the installation process.

17. Once the setup is complete, you can delete the Print Shop folder from your desktop.
