Hello. I have a copy of Printshop 22 running on Windows 7 in XP Compatibility mode with the Windows 7 patch. I also have a printer hooked onto the network through Ubuntu Server 12.04.

Now, EVERY windows program prints just fine over the network to the Linux machine, EXCEPT for Print Shop 22. I have PS22 set for the right printer on the right server. We hit print and *BLAM*! Nothing happens whatsoever. It says that it finished printing, the little printer icon on the taskbar disappears and everything looks good. Then nothing happens. No printout nothing. PS 22 just continues on like it succesfully printed.

Please, HELP!

Since I am only a volunteer moderator on these forums, and I am neither employed by nor connected with either Customer Service or Technical Support, I can only guess at the cause of your problem. My guess is that your problem might be related to the fact that, as can be seen in the End User License Agreement for Print Shop 22:

"You may not use the software on or over a network or any other transfer device (including the Internet) except in a manner using the network and online functions included in the Software, if any. Use of the Software on more than one computer constitutes copyright infringement and may be punishable by civil fines, criminal penalties, or both."

So, that would indicate that Print Shop 22 cannot successfully print to a networked Linux printer.

Even if you don't feel that my guess is valid, your only option would be to install a local printer for your Print Shop 22 - because Technical Support is no longer provided for Print Shop 22.

You can convert your project to PDF. The PDF can be printed on a networked printer.
