Brandy redux -> Forum Rules & How these forums work (9/29/2012 10:11:19 PM)

First and foremost, these are User-to-User forums - where fellow users come together to help each other with problems related to any software for which the Encore forums provide support.

Please click on the link below

Product Forums

to view a list of supported software.

**********

Since these are Functionality ('How to' or 'How does it work') Support forums, Customer Service & Technical Support is NOT provided on these forums.

And, these forums are NOT monitored by either Customer Service or Technical Support or the Development Team.

So, if you would like to contact Customer Service or Technical Support, please click on the link below

NOTE: Customer Service & Technical Support is provided for only the latest versions of each software product.

For problems experienced with older versions of a software product, please post a message in the appropriate forum which contains the following information:

1. The complete name and version number of your product

2. A detailed explanation of the problem you are experiencing

3. The exact text of any error message you are receiving, including any error message numbers.

4. The Operating System you are using

5. If you are using WinXP, WinVista or Windows 7, please be sure to include whether your Operating System is a 32-bit version or a 64-bit version.

6. If your problem is a printing problem, please also include the full name of the printer you are using.

For information about how to post a message on the forum and how to find the appropriate forum for your product, please click on the link below

to access the "How do I post a message on the forum?" FAQ

**********

Please note that these forums are not intended to be used as chat rooms or as places to post reviews or feedback/suggestions/gripes about the software.

So, if you would like to submit Feedback/Suggestions/Gripes directly to Encore or Broderbund, the recommended procedure for doing so can be found in the "How to submit Feedback/Suggestions/Gripes" FAQ by clicking on the link below

http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=40873

Moderators on these forums - who are neither employed by nor connected with either Customer Service or Technical Support - are fellow users who volunteer their time to:

1) help whenever they can with whatever problems other fellow users might be experiencing

and

2) make sure that everybody 'plays nice'[;)]

To that end, Encore has requested that moderators keep the forums clean by modifying and/or deleting any posts which contain the following:

- Spam.
- Links in posts or signatures which are not directly related to any Encore, Broderbund, Hoyle, or Bicycle product.
- Offensive language or images.
- Software gripes or gripes about Encore or Broderbund.
- Posts that would otherwise degrade another user.
- Patches or self-made fixes which violate the End User License Agreement.
- Offensive usernames (offenders will be warned and the offensive username removed, if needed).
- Incorrect Encore, Broderbund, Hoyle, or Bicycle product information.

E-Mail Notification

Whenever someone replies to your post, that reply will be posted below your original post. But, that reply will not always automatically be sent to you by e-mail.

If you would like to be automatically notified by e-mail when someone replies to your post, it may be necessary for you to either:

1) select the appropriate options on your 'My Profile' page

or

2) make sure that 'Notify me via e-mail when someone replies' is selected at the bottom of the window where you type your message.

To select 'My Profile' options, click on the 'My Profile' link at the top of any forum page. On the 'My Profile' page, look in the 'Posting Preference' and 'Subscription Preference' sections.

In 'Posting Preference', 'Always subscribe to threads when I post' is always a good choice. You can then select the 'Subscription Preference' options that best suit your needs.

NOTE: Encore's e-mail address for E-Mail Notification is forums@encoreusa.com

(since the only purpose of this email address is to send Email Notification, Encore does not accept emails addressed to this email address)

So, if you have chosen the 'Notify me via e-mail when someone replies' option, you will want to make sure that your email provider DOES NOT treat that email address as spam and either delete it or dump it in a Spam/Block folder.
