Hi! New to Printmaster and forum.

Im using a Macbook Pro, (not with the Lion) and I've been trying to create a flyer for my business.
What keeps happening is when I use the 'add text' button, I'm getting the grey shaded box, and Im clicking on it but no text is showing up. When I click off of the box, the text is there, but for some reason, Im not able to see what is being typed when I'm typing it. This may be a noob problem Im having, but its frustrating the HELL out of me, that the simplest of functions is not working. Ive even started new projects from scratch, and I'm not messing with any layering, so I don't know what the hell is up.

Any suggestions?

You are using the program correctly. This sounds like a technical problem with your computer's video display. To get technical support, go here:

When I had a video display problem, downloading and installing the latest driver for my video card did the trick.

well, i started over with a new project, and now its not having that issue...idk what the deal is. Now the other issue thats coming up is printing. My project is a 'sign' @ 8.5 x 11 . Now thats its completed, i print the preview and it looks the same, but when i actually print it, it crops the image, so i'm losing about a half inch on all sides.
is there a way to print to the edge of the page, or change the settings on my mac to do so.[8|]

A video display issue can be intermittant.

Go to the advanced printer settings and there you will see margin options. Reduce the margins to the minimum that your printer can do.
