jack_jack_jack -> How to save as EPS or other good vector format? (11/7/2013 8:41:58 PM)

Is there any possibility that I could export as a EPS file or other vector file, so I can finally switch away from this god forsaken software?
Also any reason I could import a printshop 22 sig file and ACTUALLY get what was stored in it? I know that Printshop 23.1 was a update to get the printshop to work on windows 7, but there is no way I am wasting another fifty bucks on this software. The closest I have gotten to exporting as a vector format is exporting as a PDF, but that isn't a vector image, it is just a rasterized version of the imported document sliced a few times horizontally. Real great.

Neither PrintShop 3.5 nor 23.1 (nor any Print Shop that I know of) can export their projects as vector files. If you want to create and work with EPS or vector files, Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw are suitable vector drawing programs.

PrintShop is designed for producing business documents such as brochures, flyers and business cards.

What are you trying to create? 3.5's save as PDF renders a very high quality PDF file that can be sent to a professional printing service.

It seems kind of counterproductive that a program named printshop wouldn't be able to export to a format that nearly EVERY print shop would use, And I am not trying to create anything, one of our designers has been using printshop 22 for years, but just recently bought a windows 8 computer. So we figured we'd set her up with the latest printshop designed for windows 8, unfortunately we didn't take the hint from the version number that that was the only regression in the software. Now all the imported printshop 22 files are look horrible and almost all of the images are replaced with one image. Adobe illustrator or some other good program would be an option if we didn't have 500+ designs that would need to be converted.

Only v23.1 can open v22 projects in Win8, but v23.1 is the last of that product and you'd find yourself in the same position when Win8 is updated.

If your designer created vector graphics with the Advanced Drawing feature or the basic drawing tools and you still have the old computer with v22 on it, it may be possible to export those drawings as WMF.
