Made sure the program system requirements say "Windows 8" on the box?
While older programs may work on Windows 8 or 8.1 we cannot give technical advice on how to make them run. These forums are for functionality support only. So if you find an element in the program that works in Windows 7 but you moved to a Windows 8 computer but it won't run, chances are it's a program compatibility issue.
There will most likely be no patches for the software , to fix them due to their age.
FOR SOFTWARE THAT WAS ACQUIRED IN A BUNDLE WITH A NEW WINDOWS 8 COMPUTER :
There may be products distributed with a bundle of a new computer that might be older versions of products / games. These distributors of the software are primarily responsible for installation support of these titles with your new computer. Of course you are more then welcome to come to these forums for functionality support on how to play the games or operate the software.
Refer to the documentation of your software bundle for installation support.
