jimbir -> Changing text in the date fields (12/8/2013 11:56:42 AM)

I am using CC Deluxe (very old version). I figured out how to change the font of the date in one of the date Fields. How do I duplicate the change in all the Fields at once?

I'm not sure about the older versions, but for the current version of calendar Creator, here's what you'd do:
Right-click in an empty date box and choose Properties. You should be at the Style tab. You'll see a drop-down box for "Set properties of." Change the drop-down from Current Cell to just Cell. Now go up to the font and change it to what you want. Click OK. This should change the font for all the cells.

Thanks Dave. That works in my version.

I have another question. I can't remember how to add national holidays and such to my calendar. Can You help?

Thanks. Jim B

Hi, Jim,

Here's a pinned message that should get you started on importing holidays:

It will probably apply to your version of CC as well as to newer ones.

When you import the events, check to be sure that they are included to the present and beyond. You could check by looking up an event in 1999 or 2000 and see that it's also repeated now and years ahead. I don't know what limitations there might be with event calendars supplied with older Calendar Creator versions.

Thanks. You have been very helpful. I hate to be a pest but, Is there a way to reposition the event in the date field?
Jim

Hi, Jim,

You can't move events within a cell, but you have some control over the order they appear. Right-click in an empty cell and choose Properties, and the Miscellaneous tab. One dropdown box is for Show Timed Events: choose to show them before or after untimed events. Another box is for "Sort Events By": this lets you choose a sort either by time or priority. Maybe those options will manage what you'd like to do. The checkbox for "Fit event cell size to description" is useful when you have multiple events in one cell.

Thanks again. but, none of that helped. I'll work around it.
Jim

I'm sorry those features didn't work for your purposes. I don't know if it's because the older versions don't have the same options, or if it's because you have a different goal in mind. If you don't find a workaround, post back with more details on what you're trying to do.

You could try adding a NOTE which is sort of like a separate text box. You position it where you want it to show up on your page, but the NOTE is not an event that can be associated with a date.
