lindarobin -> 12 month calendar - how to avoid crashing and losing your project (12/9/2013 9:34:33 PM)

This advice goes for ALL programs, not just Print Shop 3.5. Creating huge files runs the risk of crashing the program and corrupting the file. When using the 26 page calendar template, do not crash/corrupt the project by importing too many large files. With today's digital cameras taking photos 16MP or higher, importing a dozen or more of these unnecessarily large files into one project can result in a program crash. If you want a photo to print 8"x10", you require an image file that is no larger than 2400x3000 pixels. Anything larger will just inflate your project's file size without adding any quality to the final print. Tip: Create resampled copies of your photos for use in your project. It's not just file size that can cause a crash. The more elements and special effects you apply on every page, the greater the risk of using up your memory resources and causing a crash. If you wish to create a collage of photos with cropping and special effects, do it in a separate sign project. Export that project as JPG, best quality. Import this JPG into your calendar project. See this blog article for more details.
