I have Print Shop 22 running on Windows 7. I have designed a very nice Easter 4X6 index card postcard to be sent to the parents of my Sunday School children. These postcards need to be printed and mailed out TODAY!!! However, whenever I try to print, the portrait orientation will not change to landscape orientation. Therefore, the design only comes out sideways half-printed. I have repeatedly done a "Print Set-Up" commanding a landscape orientation printing. However, Print Shop 22 ignores my command, and the "Print Preview" shows that the card will be printed in portrait orientation. I need step-by-step instructions on how to get this to print correctly.

Are you using 4x6 card stock? If so, did you set up a custom size paper stock? When doing doing so, it is important to specify the height as the larger number.

Height=6
Width=4
Orientation=landscape

Dear ellengard,

I am using plain old 4 X 6 index cards. Where do I go to "set up a custom size paper stock"? I already told the "Print Setup" that it was a 4 X 6 index card. Please advise much further.

Thanks,

In the Printer Setup, you change your paper size to 4x6. Can't be any more specific than that because every printer model has its own printer drivers. My setup window will look different than yours. If nothing obvious pops up, try looking for Advanced Options or something similar.

That should do it. My printer doesn't have '4x6 index card' so I would have to input a custom size.

What is your project type? If I use the Blank Pages, wide project, then change the paper size to height 6; width 4, it works perfectly.

Try the Blank Pages project instead.
