Does PS Professional have 9x12 pocket folder templates? Thank you. Lisa Nash

Do you mean a template for printing the fold lines on 16x24 inch card stock i.e. make your own from scratch? Or a template for printing on a 9x12 envelope i.e. the envelope/folder is already put together?

The short answer is NO, Print Shop does not have 9x12 pocket folder templates. This kind of project is usually sent to a professional printing service because the card stock size required is too large for home printers. Plus there's all that folding and gluing.

If you do have a professional printing service in mind, it's best to use their online template where you can type in your text and upload your graphic (logo). Or download their template. Different printing services can have different requirements for the canvas size, bleed area, etc.

This is one of the more expensive items to order from a printing service. Hundreds of dollars for a minimum order of 250. A customer of mine purchased "blank" presentation folders from an office supply store and we printed his design on full sheet labels which we peeled and stuck to the folder cover. He only needed 30 folders, so this was the economical choice for him.

Thanks Ellen. My hubby needs professional presentation folders for his business. I found a template for photoshop, but ps is (in my opinion) difficult. Thanks for getting back to me.

You can convert the PhotoShop file into a JPG. In The Print Shop, create a custom size project to match that of the original template. Import the JPG to fill the custom size.

Now you can design your presentation folder in The Print Shop. Remove the template just before you save the project as PDF.

You're going to think I'm really dumb (I'm really not). I can download the file to jpg, however, I don't know how to make it "workable". How do I get it onto print shop? Step x step instructions if you have a moment. Thank you.

Treat the JPG like any other photo. You bring photos into a Print Shop project via the Photos button.

First step: Create a new custom size Sign project. You should have the correct width and height dimensions from the template you downloaded. Enter those numbers when creating the new custom size Sign project.

Second step: Import the JPG into this custom size Sign project. Size and position it to the correct dimensions.

You can now place your text and graphics in the areas indicated by that JPG.

If you need further advice, please post back.
