Is there a way to create a sheet of business cards with a different name on each card

Yes, you can set up a mail merge. The workaround is to make your business card without the names. Save as best quality JPG. This gives you one image that looks like a page of 10 business cards. Bring this into a new letter size project. Add a new name to each section.
