text block wont open

When I click on the text block icon and select new text block, I do not get a + (plus sign) icon. As a result I cannot insert the text block in the project.

Is this happening on every project you have tried to do? If yes, you will need to submit a tech support ticket. If it is only this one project, it may have corrupted somehow. Delete it. http://support.encore.com/technicalsupport/tech_support_frm.aspx?product_id=3256
