Hi,

I'm new to CC. I was handed CC Deluxe 12.1 and a department's 2014 calendar (loaded into CC). My assignment is to create an updated version for 2015. As a baseline, I'd like to copy what's in 2014 to 2015.

Looking for help with straightforward ways to do this copy:
- Is it possible to just copy total 2014 calendar to 2015 (with proper 2015 days of week), including all the 2014 events?
- If you can't copy an entire calendar, how to copy events/items from 2014 to 2015? I notice that I can't have more than 1 instance of CC running, so can't just Copy and Paste across

I looked through the online help but didn't see these topics. Any advice or pointing to some resources would be most appreciated!

Calendar Creator is a perpetual calendar, so you don't have to think in terms of copying events from one "calendar" to another.

If the events in the calendar you've been given will be the same other than for their dates, you will simply change the date of each event. Right-click an event and look at the Properties. You'll see a box for a Start Date. If it's a single-occurrence event, you only need to change that. This can be done either by advancing the date using the right-double-arrow to advance a year, or use the "Advance By" drop-down and set it to 1 Year. If the date isn't exactly 1 year ahead, you can navigate with the single-arrow buttons, and click the number of the day. Likewise you can change the hour of the day.

Repeating events can be changed using the same techniques. If you have repeating events, and need additional help with those, please post back with your questions.

This is quite a sophisticated calendar program, compared to most calendar apps out there. I really recommend reading the basics in the Help Contents. It took me a while to learn, but so worth it. Once I got my birthdays and anniversaries "evented", they are there forever.
