Bet Bet -> Print shop 23.l deluxe (11/1/2014 8:46:37 PM)

I have print shop 23.1 deluxe and use windows 7
I am compiling a cookbook using the book
When I print a page the margin does not go to the top or bottom
I need to know how to change the top and bottom and side margins on all pages
the book will have 60 pages plus and also how to number the pages

The unprintable area (margins) is determined by your printer. If you are trying to minimize the margins, go to printer settings. Every printer is different. You should be able to find an option to print borderless or set the margins to the smallest they can be.

What project type are you doing to make this cookbook? I do not recommend the booklet nor the brochure projects because the pages do not come out in the correct order once you fold the paper.

A 60 page project with high resolution photos may bring your project size to the limits of this program. Projects over 30MB have been known to crash. A technique to avoid this is to split the work between two or more projects. e.g. three projects, each with 20 pages.

For auto-pagination, you must create a newsletter project with a master page. Once you apply Add Page Number from the Text menu, to your Master Page, all pages in your newsletter project are automatically numbered.

I need help in setting the margins in printshop 23.1 for windows 7
I am doing a cookbook and using the booklet and the margins print
too low at the top and too high at the bottom and does not print out far
enough on the sides. When you go to print page set up it gives you an
option to change the margins and I have but nothing I change it to is
not making a change on the margins. I have contacted HP on my printer
and they say you can not change the margins on the printer for one
program it is set for all programs. Need help!!!

Do a printer alignment. See screen captures:

Printer Margins and Printable Area Size are determined by your printer's mechanical limitations. For older printers that do not have borderless printing capability, a common default printer margin is a 1" margin around the perimeter of the page. The mechanical requirements of paper handling which limit the printable area, may not apply to the leading edge of the paper (the edge that comes out of the printer first). The leading edge can have a much smaller margin than the trailing edge.

If you have already set your printer's margins to minimum, but you are determined to print outside the printer's printable area, here is one workaround. Temporarily tape your paper to a larger piece of paper and set a Custom page size to match the larger sheet, adjusting margins accordingly.

Alternatively, accept that your printer has big side and bottom margins. Pretend the top margin is also big by moving things down from the top. That way, all four margins will at least be consistent.

Does anyone know how to increase the margins (ruler)?

This software is a page layout program. If you need a wider "margin", simply move your text boxes and graphics over.
