how can I save project with the back ground included because of the layers its only saving the text with a white background I need a color background

If you are adding a background color, paper, or texture via Backgrounds (on the left toolbar), the background is saved in your project. Or are you saying you already tried this, but the background is no longer there when you reopen your project?
