The others are okay, but different from the one I'm trying to upload. Here is the other extension. It works.

"C:\Users\Dick Moser\Documents\DICK'S CALENDAR.BCC"

dickmsr -> RE: error message on adobe acrobat (1/24/2016 1:16:54 AM)

I am unable to find the *..ncc files.

dickmsr -> RE: error message on adobe acrobat (1/24/2016 1:19:38 AM)

oop's that is *.bcc files.

dickmsr -> RE: error message on adobe acrobat (1/24/2016 1:41:26 AM)

Okay, I give up, I'm obviously not bright enough to make this go. Thanks very much for your attempts to straighten me out. Enough is enough.

Dick

Open the Calendar Creator program. File> Open... browse to C:\Users\Dick Moser\Documents\DICK'S CALENDAR.BCC. That will do it.

dickmsr -> RE: error message on adobe acrobat (1/24/2016 4:26:33 AM)

When I open file, it only gives me an option to open collection. When I open the collection it doesn't give me the option of searching for ]C:\Users\Dick Moser\Documents\DICK'S CALENDAR.BCC.[/quote]

DEJenc3 -> RE: error message on adobe acrobat (1/24/2016 9:03:36 AM)

Opening a collection is exactly what you want to do. Calendar Creator refers to the calendars you create as "Collections" with a .bcc extension. It should be that DICK'S CALENDAR.BCC is what you need to open. If for some reason that file doesn't open, post the error here.

Click the drop down arrow of the Look in: box. Click your way through the hierarchy of folders until you get to DICK'S CALENDAR.BCC in the Documents folder.

Well, I have a copy of the missing file, open in cc. have saved it as part of the collection. How can I ne assured that it ois saved?

DEJenc3 -> RE: error message on adobe acrobat (1/28/2016 8:05:38 PM)

If you can open a collection, it is effectively saved. However, I don't understand the point about saving a missing file as part of the collection. I'll hazard a guess that you located an earlier Calendar Creator collection file, and imported data from it into a newer collection file. Does that describe what you did?

dickmsr -> RE: error message on adobe acrobat (1/28/2016 8:19:41 PM)

No, I have saved it to a backup disk I need to divert the save to calendar creator in c:/

I've asked windows to show file extensions, but it hasn't done it. Is there an easy way to see them?

Thanks,

Dick

DEJenc3 -> RE: error message on adobe acrobat (1/28/2016 8:38:36 PM)

Yes, you can show file extensions. I don't believe you mentioned your Windows version, but go to Control Panel (if you don't know how, let us know and we'll get you there when we know the Windows version). When you're in Control Panel, go to the search box (upper right?).
Enter the search:
show file extensions

That should lead you to Folder Options.
In the View tab, Uncheck: Hide extensions for known file types.

If you'll be working with various versions of the same calendar collection file, I'll suggest that you name each one distinctly. You can of course delete ones you don't need when everything is as you want it.

Added:
In Windows 8.1, and probably Windows 10, you can open the Windows search: Right-click the Start button, and choose Search.
Enter the search:
show file extensions

Select the result "Show or Hide file extensions"
and it'll take you right to Folder Options.

Thanks, I have already tried top addshow file extensions at that site, to no avail.

DEJenc3 -> RE: error message on adobe acrobat (1/28/2016 8:45:11 PM)

Well, then, I'm at a loss. Mention your operating system and perhaps another contributor will have a better suggestion.

dickmsr -> RE: error message on adobe acrobat (1/28/2016 9:07:14 PM)

Windows 10.

finally got this extension: dicks calendar jr.bcc

DEJenc3 -> RE: error message on adobe acrobat (1/28/2016 9:15:27 PM)

Good. That should be a valid file name. If it opens in Calendar Creator, and you can browse through it and edit/add events, it should be a functioning collection file.
