horsefork -> Creating Round Stock Project (6/8/2016 1:05:24 PM)

I want to create a small 2x2 round project. I'm forced to check "this is a stock label", and put in numbers of row and columns just to get to "this stock is a round label". No matter what I do, the project comes up square.

Very frustrated, any help would be appreciated.

When you mean square, does it appear like this?

No circle, just a square.

By checking This stock is a round label, a non-printing circle/oval will appear on a square background. That's perfectly correct. Add your design inside the circle, but for a full-bleed effect, make your background go beyond the circle. That way, when you peel the label off, you won't have any white margin on your sticker.

I expected to see a circle, but none appear. What do you enter in all the row, column, spacing that are required before you can even check the round stock box?

Do you want to create a label sheet project OR just print a single 2x2 circular design anywhere on a sheet of paper?

just the round image anywhere, no round label paper

That depends entirely on the label stock you purchased. If any of the numbers are slightly off, all your labels will print misaligned. You need to measure the distances asked for.

We are typing at the same time, so my replies are to your post before your last post.

I'm not using round label stock. This would ultimately be put on a button or casino chip, etc. Can I not just create a round project template?

Then DO NOT do a label sheet project. Just do a Sign project. Add a circle shape. Change the fill, shadow, outline, etc. to customize your circle.

Yes, I've done that. So you can't create a round stock, just square then put a circle image, with a border then delete the circle image?

ellengard -> RE: Creating Round Stock Project (6/8/2016 4:21:57 PM)

Round stock means you would be putting a round piece of paper in the printer. This would be a nightmare to work with.

Here I've added guide lines to help me design a 2x2 circle.

Ok, so I think the answer is no. This has nothing to do with paper of any kind. Just instead of square, I would have thought I could do round.

I've seen some downloads online for circle templates/projects, but they aren't adjustable. Surprised round is not available at the start of a project.

Thanks for your time.

Yes, your last pic is exactly the work around I used.

There is no such thing as round stock. Printers take rectangular stock. You are talking about circles on rectangular stock, such as DVD/CD templates.

BTW, if you are making designs for buttons, you must include a border that gets tucked in behind the cover.

Can I ask another question?

I've done a 3 x 8 foot banner. But I get an error message when I save in anything but html, which then doesn't display properly. Is there a size limit? I don't find anything searching the Forum.

This is my first day on here, If this need to be a new thread, I will do so. Thanks.

It depends on the type of graphics. Raster graphics of high resolution, filling up the entire banner, would probably crash your computer due to the file size. Vector graphics are fine, as long as The Print Shop does not rasterize them. Give me a few minutes, I'll test it out.

horsefork -> RE: Creating Round Stock Project (6/8/2016 4:46:46 PM)

Vector and raster are new to me. Is there a setting in PS 3.5 for this.

thanks
