Linda67 -> Address Book Files (12/4/2016 4:43:01 PM)

I recently purchased PrintMaster 7.0 Platinum. I am trying to locate my Address Book in my old PrintMaster 18 to transfer them over to the new software. Please help!
I only purchased the software because it said it had import and export capabilities.

PrintMaster v7 Platinum accepts CSV files.

If my memory serves me correctly, Print Shop 23.1 was based on PrintMaster Platinum 18.

Did PM 18 have Ultimate Mail Merge included as well? UMM seems to only have .TXT saving abilities for the file. I wonder if the saved TXT can be reassigned the CSV file by changing the file association and then trying to import it into PM7?

On my test computer, they are all saved in the Documents folder.

Although PM 18 does have an Address Book, it is not The Ultimate Mail Manager. The file format is ABK. I'll go check to see if PM 18 can export its address book in txt or cvs format and report back.

The Address Book is an ABK file. There is no new software that can open this format. First you must open PrintMaster 18, then open the Address Book. File| Save As... and choose CSV format. This will create the CSV file that can be imported to PM 7.0.

I suggest you save this CSV file to a location where you can easily find it, not the default subfolder "Books".
