"new event" keeps populating my days in my calendar (Full Version)

As soon as I put the new year on my newly created calendar, the system puts "New Event" in every day... even days where I already have a birthday or other event created. I can't seem to delete this unwanted "event" from the calendar days.

Is your event part of a group? Double click on the month and year in the calendar and click on the Misc tab. Uncheck the group the event belongs to and the event should go away.
