scooter 44 -> Calendar squishes to upper left hand corner! (12/30/2017 12:46:40 PM)

What am I doing wrong? As I go through editing my 12 month calendar, I will click on another month on the left hand side and it appears all the formatting has squished up into the left-hand corner of the page. Everything I have tried does not reverse this formatting or undo this.

The month looks fine on the left-hand side until I click on it and it is all squished!

What am I doing wrong. Very exasperating to edit, edit and edit only to flip back to a prior month and it is all screwed up!

Any tips out there?

I just bought this software from Office Max.

I am using Calendar Creator Version 1.0.2.493

I'm sorry no one has an answer to this problem. Jason, our forum admin, knows this program best. Jason, can you replicate this error?

This is definitely not normal.

What is the screen resolution that you are using?

Jason, my screen resolution is 1280x1024.

But in my frustration, I started out with a clean slate and started a NEW calendar. I set my background, changed the cell borders, inserted pictures, inserted text boxes and text, etc. It was looking beautifully. I thought maybe the first attempt was making fonts too big, changing cell borders too much, wrong background, etc.

But when I was all finished with my NEW calendar - 4 hours later - I wanted to save my calendar project in PDF so I could take it to my local printer for printing.

My version of CC which is mention above in my question does not have a save as PDF option. So I used the Print option and then changed my printer to Microsoft Print to PDF option.

In going back to recheck a few things in my project and clicking through the months and pictures and then back to the prior month, the fonts immediately squished to the upper left hand corner! Just as I captured in my original question.

In trying to open the PDF version, I get the message: "Couldn't open PDF. Somethings keeping this PDF from opening."

I am thinking the new version of CC does not like or work with the Print option and Print to PDF.

Thinking back to my very first project when this occurred, I also had saved to the Print to PDF option and my project acted the same.

Do you have any options to try so I can save my calendar as a PDF without using the Print to PDF option?

I was able to successfully export a project to PDF by clicking File > Export

Had chosen PDF for a format and got the message saying it was successful.

If you are receiving error messages, please use the instructions here to perform a complete uninstall: http://support.encore.com/technicalsupport/kb.aspx?kb_id=2093&product_id=3873

Then, reinstall the program from the install media (Download or disk, however you purchased our program)

If the steps in the knowledge base article does not resolve the issue, changing the default printer to Microsoft Print to PDF is the only solution for now.

Thank you, Jason.

I followed the link for deleting and reinstalling Calendar Creator. Dumb me, didn't realize I would loose all my data I had input!!
So I input all the data and started out again.

I was able to export to a PDF and transfer to a flash drive for printing.

I am still having a problem with the calendar squishing to the upper left hand corner. Not sure why it does it. I click on the next page on the left hand side and when I go back up to the page above, it has squished!

I have learned to SAVE every time I do something so at least I can close my project and open it again without having lost all the editing.

I even got a decent calendar together with all our birthdays, anniversaries, Heaven Days and holidays, etc. I felt comfortable sending it to the family. We have a very large family, so the data input is a time consuming effort if I loose it! I have to figure out how to back up the data file on flash drive in case I have to uninstall the CC again for some reason!

But thank you for your help! I will keep working with it!

My pleasure to help! That is a first when I saw your calendar, it was never seen until now.

About the events, if you want to save a copy of them at anytime, you simply open the events list in the program, then above the OK button is your Export and Import buttons.

It will export it as a CSV.

Awe, the event export worked perfectly! Thank you!
I find the program not to be really intuitive, but it might just be me!

If you see another squished calendar problem come along and discover a solution, please keep me in the loop if you remember.
It is very annoying.

Also, Jason, I have been reading the "manual" online and I don't see anything about this.

Is there a way to save the layout, i.e., I bring up my blank 12 month calendar, go to January and set all the parameters, background, cell borders, fonts, right corner for dates, etc. January is all set. Is there a way to have this January formatting forward to all months of the calendar? Or is it necessary to individually set these parameters for each month?

Again, thank you for sharing your knowledge!

JasonC -> RE: Calendar squishes to upper left hand corner! (1/15/2018 2:14:00 PM)

My experience with this program was that each calendar page had their own fonts and other design independently from the other pages. Same with having to update the calendar years from 2017 to 2018. It would only do one month, then I would have to go back into the other months and change their dates as well.

A big pain in the you know what, I know but it has to be done for whatever you want to change in your calendar.

Something I have on my high priority list of requested features is to do configure the calendar for one month and have it carry across others. Fingers crossed it happens!
