In the option for import picture, it doesn't give me the option to acquire as in use a scanner

The Print Shop 4.0 Deluxe and Professional do not support importing photos directly from a scanner. You must use your scanners software to acquire a copy of your photo, then import it into your project using the My Photos feature on your Insert Object toolset to the left of the program.
