I'm sure I'm missing something obvious here.

I just bought a new house, and I'm trying to model it in 3D Home Architect Home Design Deluxe 8. I'm currently working on one room, the library. I have great measurements for everything that's in this room. In the program, I found getting the walls, door, and windows places to be a breeze, since the dynamic dimensions allowed me to enter in my own measurements and have the program put those elements in the correct place.

Now I'm trying to put in the floor registers, electric outlets, and light switches. These are interior elements, and it doesn't look like there's any way for me to specify where they should go, or even display where they are with respect to other elements in the room. Am I missing something? What's the best way to achieve what I'm trying to do, i.e. "this outlet is 30" away from the north wall and 4" above the floor"?

Good Morning,

You cannot control where the element is going to be located in relation to other objects horizontally, however you can control where the element is located vertically. To control the element vertically you will right click on the element and then select Elevate. You can then elevate the object up to the desired height.

The only way to add in an element to a desired distance on the horizontal plain would be to add in a dimension that it should be and tehn move the element to meet that dimension line.

Thanks,

Okey doke, thanks.

Please consider this a feature request for your next version, I'd love to see an option to have the interior objects have the same functionality as the exteriors.

You could use the measure tool to verify the distance of the element from the desired object.

I am running 3DHA 10.0 on Mac Sierra.

I do not seem to have Library of furniture -- desks, tables, chairs, etc.

How do I acquire it please?

Hi there,

not sure what do you mean?
Are the libraries empty? can you access the libraries? can you access other libraries? (i.e. materials)

Note that 3DHA V10 is a very old program so probably it won't work with Mac Sierra
