Recently bought. Loaded and having lots of problems.

First I was able to export using Graphics Applictions that Supports 32 with transprancy. But no matter what program I took it into there's a background. Even with Printmaster which on the box it says it suports this feature.

Well after getting frustrated with it. Gave it another try today. The program on starting up trys to get me to modify or repair the program for some strange reason. Also the choice to select Graphics Application is now greyed out I can't even select it.

Really getting frustratued with the whole program. Currlenty running Windows Vista.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Toad,

First of all, it is extremely important to note that ClickArt 1.5 Million is based on the Hemera ClickArt products that were created many years ago. And, there is one rule in ClickArt 1.5 Million that is carried over from the Hemera ClickArt products. And, that rule is that, as can be seen in this pinned item

Photo Clip Art: How do I get a transparent background for my image?

only the Photo-Objects image collections support transparent backgrounds. And, unfortunately, there are no Photo-Objects image collections in ClickArt 1.5 Million. So, it is not possible to export any of the ClickArt 1.5 million images with transparent backgrounds.

The "Graphics Applictions that Supports 32 with transprancy" option that you mentioned before is actually titled "GRAPHICS APPLICATION that Supports 32-Bit Images with a Transparency Mask". And the Transparency Mask is nothing more than an option which allows you to select a background that is the same color as the background of the image where the exported image will be used. And, as a matter of fact, for many ClickArt 1.5 Million images, the "GRAPHICS APPLICATION that Supports 32-Bit Images with a Transparency Mask" is always greyed out. So, what you are seeing is completely normal for ClickArt 1.5 Million.

As to the program trying to get you to modify or repair the program, that would indicate that you might not have done a 'clean' install of ClickArt 1.5 Million, exactly as described in this FAQ

'Clean' Install on Win98/Me/XP/2000/Vista/Win7

And, if you did not do a 'clean' install, that could mean that the installation is corrupt. If that is the case, this is what I would suggest that you do to fix that problem:

A. Click on this link

Uninstalling Software: Thoroughly & Safely

and follow the directions in that FAQ

B. Click on this link

Computer Cleanup on WinXP, WinVista & Win7

and follow the directions in that FAQ

C. Click on this link

'Clean' Install on Win98/Me/XP/2000/Vista/Win7

and follow the directions in that FAQ
