My problem with the game is; Get errors when trying to open game. I get as far as resume saved game then I get these errors;DIRECTOR PLAYER ERROR...CAST MEMBER NOT FOUND...SCRIPT ERROR - CONTINUE? When I select YES another error pops up: OBJECT EXPECTED....

I started the game again and selected NO when asked if I wanted to continue and the game closes. So, I started again and did not select the saved game and I was able to pick another location and I was able to play. This morning I started Scrabble Journey and again I get the same error messages. Would like to know what is happening with this game. The location I have been unable to get to was: THE RUINS.. I can select other locations to continue..then close that location and am able to open THE RUINS..is it just this place or is there a glitch in the game?

The error message I get when starting the game is: DIRECTOR PLAYER ERROR - Cast member not found - script error -continue? When selected YES another error msg : Object Expected.

When tried second time, the error comes up and I select NO it closed the game....

Hi Shibumi,

I experienced the same problem twice - after installing other software. And, the only thing that I could figure out was that my saved game had been corrupted during that software installation. And, the only way that I was able to fix the problem was to delete my saved game and start over.

The saved game file can be found here:

For WinXP:

C:\Documents & Settings\[your username]\Application Data\Macromedia\Director MX 2004\Scrabble Journey\Prefs\sjprefs.txt

For Vista:

C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Director MX 2004\SCRABBLE Journey\Prefs\sjprefs.txt

If you are not able to find the correct file or folder, try this:

1. Go to Control Panel, then select 'Folder Options'.

2. When the Folder Options window opens, click on the 'View' tab.

3. On the View tab, click in the circle next to 'Show hidden files and folders' - place a mark in that circle

4. Click on 'Apply', then click on 'OK.

NOTE: Since the saved game can be easily corrupted by software installations, it is advisable to back up that saved game before installing any software. Then, after the software installation is complete, copy the saved game back to the same folder.
