Problem Slow Acceleration in NT/2000 or Black Screen on startup Solution Occasionally freezes may be due to Hardware Acceleration being set too high. To change these settings 1. Click on the Windows Start menu button and choose Control Panel. 2. Find the Display icon and double click it. 3. Locate the Settings tab located on the top portion of the menu and then click the Advanced button. Then choose the troubleshooting icon located on the top right. 4. Start lowering the graphics acceleration setting and restart your program until you find the right setting that is compatible with your program. Alternately, you may want to immediately try setting the acceleration to one notch above “None,” and work up from there if necessary.
