You aren't doing anyting wrong. For multi-up projects such as labels and business cards, the automatic duplicating doesn't convert over. Here is my work-around:

On your project, select all and group. Copy/paste the group into a new blank label sheet project that matches your label stock. Now the label is duplicated over the entire sheet.

(There are not a lot of Avery templates included which is why the Custom Paper Stock maker is so easy to access and use. Just click the New button near film strip of label types.)

When you say:

...when I try to make my custom label I get an error box "The given key was not present in dictionary"

do you mean you get this error trying to create a new label with version 4.0? If so, you may have input an incorrect number in the Custom Paper form. A common mistake is to put the label dimensions in the paper dimensions.

If you are getting the error when trying to open your old LBL file in v4.0, then it is probably due to something in the old project that won't convert over.

Yes this is when I am creating a new label in print shop 4. I used the paper size 8.5 x 11
I listened to a tutorial on how to create a new label and followed the example exactly and still received the same error message.
I've closed everything down, and restarted and still same error message.
The whole reason I purchased this product is to make labels for my business. I do hope we can figure out this problem.

You're doing everything correctly, so I think your problem is technical. You can submit a tech support ticket here and tell them the error message you are getting.
http://support.encore.com/technicalsupport/tech_support_frm.aspx?product_id=3780

As a quick workaround, you can give me the numbers you typed into the Custom Paper form and I will create the label project for you and email it to you.

I submitted a support ticket.

In the meantime, your help is appreciated. the page is 8.5x11
rows 2
space between rows .125
columns 2
space between columns 0

first label from top .125, from side .125

Thank you

thank you so much for your help! I am back in business thanks to you making that templet for me.
I did receive a response from the support ticket I had made.
We are aware of the error message displayed when creating a new label. Unfortunately at this time we do not have a fix for this error. It has been reported to the developers for further research to find a fix. We do not have a time line when a fix will be available, it will be included in an update to the program. When a new update to the program is available it will be listed on the Select a New Project screen.

I'm glad I could help. Let me know if you need another custom label.

Thanks for sharing the tech response for that error message. I wonder if it's a Win 10 issue. I am still using (for as long as I can hold out) Win 7.

I suddenly can´t use the avery templ 8167 label sheet. I use this return address sheet nearly daily in my business. I have been using it for sometime, and now when I click to open it closes the program. When I tried remaking it, when I click on the label sheet 8167 it closes. So I cannot remake. All other work works beautifully.

Conversion is not 100%, but there are workarounds. Please see this thread for advice:

Post #3 specifically looks at labels.

Just wondering, are you using 3.5 or 4.0?
