I just purchased Everything PDF 3.0. I was told that this works in Windows 10. I'm able to open saved PDF document in Tools but I'm unable to Edit the document by typing text to the document. Please explain details of how to proceed in order to be able to type text in a PDF document. Thank you very much. AD

There isn't a forum for Everything PDF so I guess here is a good a place as any. Lucky I happened to see this and I also have this program.

The short answer to your question: You cannot edit a PDF's text in this program. That's not the kind of editing this program does. If you are dealing with a protected PDF, nothing will let you change it from what the original author intended.

However, an unprotected PDF can be opened in Word and then edited. Some other programs also have the capability to open PDF and then you can edit from there. My experience is that this conversion is less than 80% accurate. Character and line spacing may be way off, there may be no text wrapping, and images that were created with special effects in the originating document, may look a mess.

Generally speaking, seek the originating document to edit, not the resulting PDF.

If you want to be able to directly rewrite PDFs (not convert to Word and then save as a new PDF), you need a much more sophisticated and pricey program on par with Adobe Acrobat.

If you are trying to fill in a form and you can't, that is the fault of the PDF's author who did not correctly create the fill-in fields to accept data.

I'll second Ellengard's post as I've been unable to find this feature in the program.
