Unable to print a legal sized document. Noticed that under the Print Alignment tab and the drop down for paper size I only have to available paper sizes, letter and A4. Need to have the option of legal size. For now I have found a work around by saving it in a PDF format, but only issue is that the print quality takes a hit when printing from a PDF.

Print alignment is not where you can choose that size.

All printing options are found when you click on the Print button.

Thanks TMLFAN4LIFE for responding so quickly! That is what I was thinking, just select the desired size when I select print, but when I have done that the entire project does not print off. It only prints a portion of the project. Like it is still trying to print a letter size. Tried to screen shot but can't seem to get the file small enough to upload.

Here I believe I got a screen shot to upload. This is a screen shot of going into the properties of my printer, selecting legal size for it as well and print preview.

Check that Legal size is selected for the printer you are using, and as a further check, look at the output size.

It's interesting that your PDF printed at the correct size. This suggests that The Print Shop program may require the latest printer driver for your model of printer.

Thanks for the input. I have checked those setting as well and they look good as far as I can tell with the output sizes matching what the physical size of a legal print out would be. As far as an update driver, that is what I was originally thinking when I first called into to speak to technical support before I knew of the forum. But the person who helped me didn't have any information regarding an update for PrintShop. Where might I go to find a possible update?

Thanks

It's not Print Shop that needs updating, it's the printer driver. Go to the manufacturer's website (Canon, HP, Lexmark, whichever is yours). They all have a section where you can download the latest driver for your model and OS.

Well, that is disappointing! Do you mind if I try it on my system? I'll email you and you can reply with attachment of your Print Shop project file. You can edit out anything personal from your project, but I will not be sharing it with anyone.

I have determined that the problem is a bug in Print Shop 4.0. The program cannot print legal size LANDSCAPE projects. Legal size PORTRAIT projects do print OK, so the work-around is to group, rotate, and copy to a new blank legal-size PORTRAIT project. Print the PORTRAIT project.

I have reported this problem to Encore.
