To create a 450 dpi JPG for uploading to a 4x6 printing service, create a custom 9 inches by 6 inches sign project. Then when you save as JPG at the 300 dpi setting, you will in effect get a 450 dpi 4x6 JPG file.
When text is converted into the JPG image, it is no longer text, just pixels. At 300 dpi, "text" can look blurry. 450 dpi solves that problem.
