Is it possible when making labels to print just one label instead of an entire sheet?

Sorry but NO nperteeguthrie,

PrintMaster 2012 is designed to print only an entire sheet of labels.

As a workaround, open a new letter size project. Design your label and position it to print in the spot where your label will be.

This is very easy for big labels. For smaller labels, you must be very precise in your positioning. Do a test print on regular paper and hold it up against your label stock and it is easy to see if you need to realign your design.
