I am using v 12.1 of Calendar Creator. I just want a plain black & white calendar. When I specify black & white on the print command, everything comes out very light except for the events which I made a black font and these are the only dark characters on the page. Since the grid lines and the before & after months are in red and the grid lines blue, this is probably the cause. Can the calendar as it is displayed on the monitor be set as B&W?

Hi, Bill,

Is it possible that the printer properties of your printer will allow you to override a color option and allow you to print only with the black cartridge? If so, you could try leaving Calendar Creator's print dialog with "print in black and white" unchecked. You may get a denser black that way.

Here's something else to try: print the calendar to pdf using a print-to-pdf utility. I'm using CutePDF. The print dialog for CutePDF allowed me to choose a black and white setting, and the pdf calendar is black and white. Maybe that will print better to the color printer, since it's all shades of gray.

Thanks, Dave,
The CutePDF option worked nicely.

Glad it worked. I suppose one advantage of doing it this way is that you don't have to modify the calendar, and you'll be able to print it in color if that's ever wanted.
