Window size problem - 7/26/2012 11:33:47 AM    Jeff Root   Posts: 4 Joined: 6/12/2012 Status: offline I have Hoyle Puzzle & Board Games 2008 installed on 64-bit Windows 7. The video drivers I'm using are those that were built into Windows. My LCD monitor screen is 1920 x 1200, and that is the resolution that Windows is set to use. Hoyle Games 2008 uses a lesser resolution, with a more squarish aspect ratio. When I made it full-screen, it did not fill the screen from side-to-side. Until yesterday. After watching a Blu-ray movie yesterday, when I started Hoyle Games, it filled the screen from edge-to-ege. Meaning that everything is wider than it should be. I've tried changing the screen resolution in Windows to something else and back again. Regardless of which resolution I use when I start Hoyle Puzzle & Board Games 2008 on my Win7 64-bit laptop, I see borders on the left and right side of the screen. The top and bottom of the screen are in true Full Screen mode, with no border. However, since the largest resolution option on my Win7 64-bit laptop is 1920 x 1080, I am not able to attempt to duplicate your problem. Tests which I have conducted with various Hoyle products on various Operating Systems and with various resolutions have revealed that the ability to be displayed in true full screen mode varies with both the Operating System and the resolution. For example, when I play Hoyle Puzzle & Board Games 2008 on my WinVista 32-bit version laptop, I see a border only on the Top and Bottom of the screen. When I was trying to adjust the monitor color for the Blu-ray movie, I pressed the button to reset some settings. One of the defaults, which I must have changed and then forgot, is to fill the screen with whatever signal it receives, even if doing so changes the aspect ratio. RE: Window size problem - 7/27/2012 7:41:00 AM    JasonC   Posts: 1692 Joined: 12/14/2005 From: Hayward, CA Status: offline One more thing you will want to consider is that ATI and NVIDIA cards have options built into their driver control panels to specially handle games that are 4x3 aspect ratio.
