I have a large number of files (Projects) created using Print Shop Premier Edition V.5, a 1997 version of Print Shop. I'm running Windaows Vista Home Premiun with SP2. The software still works, i.e. I can create new projects with it and can modify existing ones. My problem is that I finally had to replace my former printer, an HP1600, with a new HP ENVY 4500, and it won't recognize the old Print Shop Project (.PDS) files. When I open one and try to print it, I get an error message saying "A general error has occurred...". I've restarted my computer and re-installed the software (having first deleted it) as the error message suggests, but the problem remains. I've purchased and installed Print Shop Deluxe version 3.5.2, but unfortuately it, won't recognize the old .PDS files. The old projects of mine represent many hours of work that I'd hate to lose. Can anyone help me solve this problem?
