Printmaster v6 Printing problem

Status: offline 		I have problems sometimes printing with my P. v6. I mainly use it with half fold greeting cards. Sometimes it will not print the pages it is supposed to print. i.e. page 3 and 4 instead of 2 and 3. I have to print the outside first and then the inside. Outside is 1 and 4 with inside being 2 and 3. I noticed a post by lindarobin stating to export to PDF first. Is that true for half fold greeting cards?

I was also looking for some user help on using v6. I went to Amazon.com and saw the reviews and said to myself, "Dummy. you should have looked at the reviews first before getting the v6." But, too late for that. On the reviews there were comments from Encore moderators recommending going to the encore forum site to find help with using v6. Thus far, I haven't been able to find any help.

Specifically I would like to be able to use clip art from my previous Printmaster programs. I haven't been able to find any help on that.

Any suggestions

There are two main sources of help in the help menu: a user guide in PDF format and a user guide web site.

Clipart from the old PrintMaster can't be directly accessed by any other program. That clipart would have to be exported as JPG or GIF. Those standard image formats can then be imported into v6.0 or any other program.

For all half-fold cards, you ALWAYS print 1 and 4, and then 2 and 3. If you try to print it any other way, your card is out of order when folded.

Exporting to PDF lets you see if there will be problems before you print, so it can save you from wasting ink and card stock. The PDF should show you the outsides as one page; the insides as another page.

When I said "user help" I was referring to others who use v6 and may have some tips etc.
Thank you, however, for the information. I will be sure to check it out.

I think I have tried printing 1 and 4 and 2 and 3 but as I remember, it didn't work out.
What I have done is click print 1-4 and then when the print preview comes up, remove the page that I didn't want to print.
However, last week I printed the outside, (1 & 4) fine, but when I selected the inside (2 & 3) it printed 2 & 4 or 3 & 4,(I don't remember which). I was following my usual procedure, but I must have over looked that for some reason. It won't "2-sided" print on my printer. I liked Printmaster 18 where I could select "outside" or "inside".
I'll keep trying.

I had come to the conclusion on the clipart on my own. Just a lot of extra work. But sometimes, you have to do what you have to do.

Let me say that I have used Broderbund products, (even back when it was Mindscape) for years and have always appreciated the programs I have used. That is why Printmaster v6 was such a disappointment to me. Just my input. Thank you.
