This my first posting on this forum. QUESTION, ? So far I've found PrintShop Deluxe 3.5 the most user friendly graphics
I've ever used which I bought to replace the obsolete ADOBE CS2 and COREL DRAW 10 software. I have a small art studio
where I produce custom badges as a sideline. I have a American Button Machine that provided me the badge design
software specific for PrintShop which downloaded ok. PROBLEM ? When I open PrintShop and get to the new project, blank
page, I can not find the way in bringing in the American Button Machine badge design template !
How does one bring in third party compatible or custom made templates ?

Thank you for a great product !

As long as the image is JPG, There is a button to the left of the interface called My Photos.

Then you would tell Print Shop where that file is located and import that image into your blank project.

I think I am looking at the correct website for American Button Machine. From what I can see, there is no specific download for The Print Shop 3.5 (please correct me if I am wrong by posting the link to aforementioned Print Shop software plug-in)

American Button has their own program (online and download). It accepts images that you have created in other programs, such as The Print Shop 3.5. American Button program and The Print Shop program operate totally separately. There is no such thing as a Print Shop compatible American Button template.

Thank you for your help where I am beginning in getting a handle on how this program works. Yes, American Button Machine
does have a proprietary software for their button making. It is a bit of a challenge searching through all their design tabs
where they do list all of the compatible software Adobe, Corel and PrintShop. My purpose in asking my question is that I
do a number of hand done caricatures for special occasions. The advancements in technology where just about anyone
can make facial distortions on their hand helds has literally killed the hand done caricature business. It for this reason
I found a custom nische market where I do caricatures for special events such as weddings, corporate events and other
venues which include a number of badges as an add on in making a few added dollars. The badges feature the caricature
of the person depicted. I'm the only artist in this region of the country doing this.

Thanks for your help !

Jim

On a side note we did add the feature to work with PSD files in the Professional Version

I know what you mean about technology affecting some of the creative art businesses. My cousin-in-law was an artist for Hallmark. I used to make a lot more custom calendars and invitations, but people are doing it at home now with desktop publishing programs.

Best of luck with your special events badges!

The Print Shop 3.5 has a Save As HTML feature. If you don't yet have a web site for your business, you may find this feature useful.
