Long time user and very glad Print Shop is finally back up to speed! My problem is when placing text or photos in a project, the final print has not so crisp and clear text or imported photos in the finished product whether printing or viewing. How do I get the "cleared up"? Thanks

Not all projects will exhibit this behavior. What does the project look like when you export to PDF or JPG?

PDF prints the same as Print Shop, fuzzy. The graphics I imported from Print Shop are nice but the photos I imported from my files and the text I put in are still fuzzy. I exported to JPEG and printed, it looks the best but cannot print duplex. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Fuzzy printing was my biggest problem in the earlier 3.0 - 3.5 versions. I'll do testing on various image formats, text, headlines, multiple PDF writers, etc. and post my results tonight.

To compare the printing from The Print Shop 4.0 against the printing from another program, I have chosen Serif PagePlus (which is available from Encore.com). My test shows that The Print Shop 4.0 isn't bad, but it is not quite as sharp as PagePlus. Notice the wisps of hair are sharper from PagePlus.

The fuzzy printing in The Print Shop 4.0 (left side) is really noticeable, both for regular text and for Headline text. I'm surprised that the text is this bad. Although previous versions had fuzzy Headlines, the regular text had always printed sharp. This is not good.

The last thing I printed was a vector graphic, in this case, a filled circle. My past experience with an earlier version of The Print Shop was that it printed fuzzy raster images, but vector images were sharp. So it appears that v4.0 "rasterizes" vector drawings which reduces its sharpness when printed.
